RETN carried out upgrade of the backbone for the purpose of minimization of round-trip time of data transmission on the clients-demanded directions. As a result RTT on the route Moscow – London was reduced by 8% and can be provided at the level of 45.6 ms.



Go to 100G

100GfirststepRETN began the implementation of 100G wavelength technology. RETN DWDM and IP network on the direction St.Petersburg – Moscow – Kiev are upgraded on 100G as a first step.


DWDM upgrade

RETN has upgraded its pan-European DWDM ring increasing its capacity by 18%. The end-to-end capacity has been equalled 700 Gbps on the southern direction Moscow – Kiev and 600 Gbps on the northern direction Moscow – Stockholm – Frankfurt. The bandwidth of the DWDM line Moscow – Voronezh has been levelled to 1 Tbps.


Pan-European DWDM upgrade

RETN has completed the upgrade of its pan-European DWDM ring in order to increase the network bandwidth. Now, in the southern part of ring the end-to-end Russia-Europe bandwidth is 400Gbps, and in the north – 600Gbps.
