RETN international telecommunications network provides capacity, data transmission and IP based services. RETN improves clients' connectivity between the largest telecommunication nodes of the world.

More than 200 Russian and international carriers and 700 corporate customers use RETN’s network services.

The RETN network is being actively expanded; with bandwidth being constantly upgraded and with an increasing number of POPs (Point of Presence).

Aug 13, 2010 RETN has doubled a capacity of its DWDM network on a site Amsterdam-London-Paris-Frankfurt from 100Gbps to 200Gbps.

Jul 29, 2010 A Ukrainian legal entity RETN, which is a part of RETN group, obtained license for International Private Lines (IPLC) covering the territory of Ukraine. The license term is 10 years. Now RETN is legally capable of delivering IPLC from Ukraine to Europe, Russia and other parts of the world. Prior to obtaining the license most of RETN business in Ukraine was related to IP services. At the moment the total active capacity, which goes through Ukraine exceeds 600 Gbps and 300 Gbps are the connections to Russian Federation.

Jul 1, 2010 RETN Group deployed new backbone portion connecting Frankfurt, Paris and London. New DWDM network segment is built with the help of new generation Infinera ILS2. The scalable network solution is based on distributed Raman amplifiers and BMM2 cards and allows 1 600 Gbps upgrade as well as delivery of 100 Gbps lambdas. And it doesn’t require further upgrade of optical fibers and amplifiers. Total length of RETN network has reached 14 000 kilometers.

Jun 9, 2010 RETN employs a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port at PLIX (Warsaw, Poland) and 2 x 10GE port at AMS-IX (Amsterdam, Netherland). The upgrade is in response to increased RETN backbone Internet traffic.

Jun 4, 2010 RETN has tripled it’s ports capacity of Juniper MX960 Edge Routers in Moscow, Stockholm and Frankfurt. Dense Port Concentrators (DPCs) were replaced with latest model Fixed Configuration Modular Port Concentrators (MPC), having sixteen 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports per card. Also additional direct Router-to-Router connections Moscow-Frankfurt-Stockholm-Moscow are organised for optimal distribution of the transit IP traffic in RETN network. The upgrade will allow to serve Internet traffic up to 1320 Gbps on each of these PoPs.
