RETN has doubled bandwidth capacity between Russia and Europe on the low latency route Moscow-Warsaw-Frankfurt-Amsterdam-London, which is in demand by financial and banking institutions.
RETN continued the re-equipment of east part of the network on 100G technology. The new 100G DWDM gear closed Ural ring Yekaterinburg – Tyumen – Chelyabinsk – Ufa. Length of a ReTN’s DWDM network has reached 27981 km.

RETN has closed the ring around Middle Volga by new DWDM route Saratov – Samara – Ufa – Kazan – Cheboksary – Nizhniy Novgorod. New transmission system has constructed on Alien Wavelength technology with 100G bandwidth. The length of new route is 2276 kilometers.
RETN has launched a new shorter DWDM route between Moscow and Belgorod through Orel and Kursk. The optical length of new route is 888 kilometers in contrast to 1040 km of old route through Voronezh. Traditionaly new route is deployed with the equipment of Infinera Corp. The initial bandwidth of new route is 500G.
