RETN launches a unique new PoP at DELTALIS

Frankfurt, DE and Attinghausen, CH – 9th February 2017 – RETN, an international network service provider, announces the launch of a unique new PoP at the DELTALIS high-security Datacenter in Switzerland.

Establishing this new PoP is part of RETN’s strategy to extend its network reach in the DACH region. The first steps in this strategy were made in 2016 with the launch of Stuttgart-Zurich DWDM route and now the new PoP at DELTALIS is the result of RETN’s ongoing penetration into the Swiss market. DELTALIS also brings one of the world’s most secure Datacenters onto RETN’s network with features such as full EMP protection.

Ideally located in the heart of Switzerland and on the borders of the Greater Zurich area, DELTALIS attracts many international telecoms and cloud service providers alongside corporations and institutions who value the security, energy stability and high-speed connectivity.

“This is the third RETN PoP in Switzerland. Our choice of location was determined by the premium characteristics and performance of DELTALIS. This Datacenter has the level of security and support required to provide our customers with a cost-effective, reliable and high quality service. We are sure that our cooperation will grow into a mutually beneficial partnership very soon”, said Mario Kohl, Managing Director at RETN GmbH.

“We are excited to add RETN to our selection of on-site carriers, we consider RETN as a valuable connectivity partner due to its impressive network coverage in Europe stretching further to Asia and North America and their flexible and professional approach. Through RETN’s presence in our Datacenter we are delighted to provide our customers with more enhanced connectivity possibilities and a single point of entry to the extensive RETN network”, said Frank Harzheim, CEO at DELTALIS SA.

About DELTALIS

DELTALIS operates its hyper secure Datacentre deep inside a Swiss mountain in an environment that was made to protect. Where the Swiss military built one if it’s primary control and command centres, data and systems now find the ultimate in security and stability. Alongside physical security DELTALIS benefits from 100% renewable energy produced in local Hydro-Electric generation facilities and has 700 cubic metres of mountain water for primary cooling. This provides an environmentally friendly location that is also able to scale to the increasing demand for power density in Datacentres.

The DELTALIS proposition is further enhanced with a multilayer security concept (including full EMP protection), full redundancy and strong IP and IX connectivity from international carriers. In its 10.000 m2 facility, DELTALIS provides the highest degree of flexibility and scalability in Datacentre services, from rack space in open colocation areas to hundreds of square meters of space in dedicated suites. Our clients benefit from an ISO27001 certified Datacentre that has been built to the highest of specifications and using industry leading vendors and suppliers.
