RETN wins Best ISP Polish International Provider award

Warsaw, London - October 1, 2026 - RETN, the leading independent global network service provider, has been named Best Polish International Provider at the 2026 iNET Meeting, recognising the company’s contribution to Poland’s telecommunications market and its role in connecting Polish operators, ISPs, content and digital companies, to markets across Europe and Asia.

The award was presented at the iNET Meeting in Arłamów, which brings together telecommunications operators and industry representatives from across Poland.

RETN provides connectivity services within Poland with access to its 142,000-kilometre international network, giving customers a single reliable backbone through which to reach markets across Europe, Asia and the USA. The company has continued to invest in this network, strengthening routes between Poland and neighbouring markets while increasing diversity and capacity across the wider backbone.

In June 2026, RETN launched a new Kaunas–Suwałki–Białystok fibre route, adding an independent connection between Lithuania and Poland. The route brings Białystok into RETN’s wider network, with onward connectivity to Warsaw and Western European markets, strengthening connectivity between the Baltic region and Central Europe.

This builds on wider regional investment. In 2025, RETN upgraded its Lithuanian network ring connecting Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys, strengthening the capacity and resilience of routes towards Poland and onward to Warsaw, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and other major European hubs.

RETN has also continued to develop its Warsaw network, adding alternative connectivity paths within the capital and increasing route diversity. Across its international backbone, the company deployed 400G coherent pluggable technology during 2025, with 50% of IP/MPLS traffic running over 400G ZR/ZR+ infrastructure by July 2026.

RETN has also strengthened the security of the connectivity it provides. In 2024, the company increased its global DDoS scrubbing capacity by 5,000%, expanded its scrubbing locations and added 24/7 security operations, with DDoS protection available to its IP Transit and Internet Access customers. With further enhancements to RETN’s DDoS Mitigation Solution the company is ready to protect Polish and international customers facing threat from growing DDoS attacks.

Amy Bajer, Managing Director, Poland & CEE at RETN, said:

“We are delighted to receive this recognition from the iNET community. It is particularly meaningful because it comes from telecom operators and industry professionals from across Poland. The Polish market needs more than connectivity between cities. Telecom operators, ISPs, content companies and businesses increasingly depend on reliable international access for their customers, services and operations. There are not many providers in Poland that can combine a strong domestic network with international connectivity across Europe and all the way to Asia. We have continued to invest in that network, adding new cross-border routes, increasing diversity around Warsaw, strengthening capacity and improving resilience and security. We are proud to support Polish companies and networks with the international connectivity they need, and grateful to the iNET community for recognising our contribution to the market.”

The iNET Meeting 2026 took place from 28–30 September in Arłamów.
