That was the message our CEO, Tony O’Sullivan, kicked off with at the CCT2025 event in Dublin - setting the stage for a lively panel on digital transformation in telecoms. Tony reminded us that progress doesn’t come from just upgrading systems; it comes from rethinking how we work. With the right mindset, technology becomes a catalyst for transformation, not just a digital version of old processes.
“We aim to automate 80 to 90% of the routine tasks, freeing our engineers to focus on the 10 to 20% of unique customer cases - delivering exceptional service”, Tony said.
He also pointed out a big industry shift thanks to cloud computing: customers now expect flexibility. “It’s not so much about cutting costs. It’s about offering choices - alternatives to the traditional 36-month contracts; true flexibility. We’re building our services around that.”
Above all, as another speaker put it: “Telecoms need to think more like tech companies - embracing innovation while keeping infrastructure and connectivity rock-solid.”
